My Reply Card Stop-the-Violence

Stop The Violence

It's just another day; you turn on the TV to listen to the news. All you hear are people that have caused harm to other people. Violence statistics, gang violence, school violence, teen violence, gun violence, violence in the workplace, domestic violence, so much violence.

Is this behavior something we learn?

Children can learn violent behavior from their family and peers as well as observed it in their neighborhoods, on TV, and even on the radio.

Families that are well off, poor families that are not as fortunate are sending their children to school. They are taught, reading, writing, arithmetic, and the difference between right and wrong. Kids know that it is a choice to commit a crime. So why do we have so much violence in the world!

How do we prevent our children from becoming a statistic? How do we put an end to violence so our children have a better world to live in?
